Beth and Matt's latest game

They learned how to play Hide & Seek! Well sort of, lol. One of them hides, the other one counts to ten, and then as soon as the "seeker" starts looking the "hider" is overcome with excitement and runs shrieking down the hall. "Beth!!! I was in the closet!!! Did you find me??" If nothing else it is pretty darn cute.

In other news Carrie had her very first PB&J sandwich today. I cut it into a very cute dinosaur shape, but she crushed it within seconds. Despite her complete lack of teeth she is quite the eater.

Beth and Matt

I took this these morning. I love them because I feel like I can just look at them and see how the kids are growing and learning. Matt used to just cry when his tower fell down, but today he figured out that he can build it taller if he makes a base first.

Beth didn't use a base, but she made a pattern.

Then she realized she could get hers to stand up by leaning it against Matt's more stable tower.

Then they both worked together to build one as tall as they could reach.

The kids are growing up!

Carrie turned one yesterday! Wow, what an amzing year it has been. She is such a sweet baby, and we are so thankful to have her as part of our family. She loved her chocolate cake, as you can see!

Recap of my week

My kids....

Put 500 stickers on the wall
Flushed a matchbox car down the toilet
Pulled all the beads and various ornaments off the tree
Took off their hats and mittens and put them in the gutter -which was filled with melting snow
"Fed" their stuffed animals playdough...which got nice and caked in.

And when I confront them they just stare at me like deers caught in the headlights. When I demand an explanation all I get is "Matt did it!" and "Beth told me too!"

What can I say? Having three kids in under three years isn't for the faint-hearted. I've resorted to constant threats of "Remember - Santa is watching!" Carrie at least remains sweet and relatively trouble free. She is getting so close to crawling though, so soon we will be baby-proofing all over again.

Matt Warren

What can I say...he's gifted.

This is what he said to me this morning - he got a note card and a pencil out and said "Mommy, I'm going to write your name. What letter does it start with?" I said "C.' And he says "Ohhh...like Carrie. Okay. And how do you spell C?"

To Beth, Matt, and Carrie

I love this song by Rascal Flatts.... :)

I hope the days come easy and the moments pass slow,
and each road leads you where you want to go,
and if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
and if one door opens to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin' 'til you find the window,
if it's cold outside,
show the world the warmth of your smile,
more than anything, more than anything,

My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
your dreams stay big, your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
and while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.

I hope you never look back, but ya never forget,
all the ones who love you, in the place you left,
I hope you always forgive, and you never regret,
and you help somebody every chance you get,
Oh, you find God's grace, in every mistake,
and you always give more then you take.

But more than anything, Yeah, and more than anything,

My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it,
to your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
and while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.

My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it,
to your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
and while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.
yeah this is my wish o0o0o0o0o0o0
i hope you know somebody loves you
may all your dreams stay big

You know...

There was a time in my life when I would have felt ridiculous pushing a giant stuffed penguin around the neighborhood in a stroller. Now its just par for the course.
